Description:
These days defensemen must be mobile, quick thinkers able to move with the puck to create scoring opportunities and threatening line rushes. With this in mind we have created a program that will not only teach how to defend your own end, but will allow the student to gain confidence in skating with the puck and joining the rush. Every team needs a defenseman that can be a great offensive contributor. This program will provide all the skills needed to become a defenseman that can breakup the play then turn it up the other way. All of the essential defensive skills will also be covered. (eg. Backwards skating including acceleration & pivots, 1 on 1’s, 2 on 1’s, holding the blue line, breakout passes, transitional play and covering the front of the net.) This program is a must for all defensemen!
This camp will also include 1 hour per day of hockey specific off-ice training as well as 1 hour per day of fun sports activities.

To reach your full potential as a player it helps to be technically sound in the four core aspects of hockey. Learn the correct way to skate, shoot, puck handle and pass at a young age and these skills will stay with you forever and make the rest of the game much easier. World Class Hockey does a great job at teaching and demonstrating these skills while focusing on being technically correct.
